Lifestyle Development Proposed on
Kenosha Wisconsin's Downtown Harbor Front
From the inspiration of local designer Stephen Cascio, the City of Kenosha is entertaining the bold concept of PIAZZA and its multi-use amenities. Piazza, meaning urban open space plaza, is a lifestyle development with striking blend of classic old-world charm, pedestaled with polished contemporary proposed on Kenosha's downtown harbor front. A pronounced visual statement representing the past and future of its community.
From left to right, PIAZZA encloses a Center of the Performing Arts that showcases symphonies, big name performers, concerts, theatre, ballet, dance, student matinees, lectures, filmmaker movies and an art gallery. Adjoining features a 5-star hotel and small convention center hosting people and companies from around the world. Luxury residential condominiums reaching 20 stories overlook the outdoor piazza. Restaurants, outdoor cafes and specialty boutique shops accommodate ground floor activity. The development also includes all-season indoor and below surface parking, rooftop gardens vistas, an indoor trolley depot that connects to train depot and the residential neighborhood. And designed to bring outdoor social life together is a spacious piazza with water feature and parkway.
With its unique aesthetic presence, PIAZZA embraces over 8 square blocks of harbor front and downtown. The proposed plan would also include the selected developer to finance and relocate Kenosha's Municipal Office Building at 625 52nd Street to another location, under the guidance of Kenosha Mayor, John M. Antaramian.
Trolley on the Right Track
Imagine, taking the trolley and dropping you off right inside the fine foods area, or escorting you to an evening performance at the Center of Performing Arts, or having it take you directly from the train station as it brings you home to PIAZZA. The trolley will have semi-indoor depot that accommodates an assortment of public activities. The PIAZZA is designed to support a transit hub for the trolley system and selected city bus routes.
Piazza Seeking Developers
The City of Kenosha and Stephen Cascio are currently seeking developers to develop PIAZZA. Together as a group, we would be open to modifying the existing plan to accommodate the success of the development and to further enhance the amenities that will support Kenosha's future and downtown.

It was a great pleasure and interest that I reviewed your stunning plans for a Piazza development at the site of Kenosha's existing Municipal Office Building. It is obvious that you are a visionary and one who sees Kenosha continuing on its path of metamorphosis that began a decade ago at our lakefront. The City of Kenosha would definitely be interested in hearing from potential developers pertaining to the Piazza proposal and how they would fund it.
